Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Vintique Sound, submitting a service request, or purchasing digital products, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access our services. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

User Accounts and Conduct

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the service.

  • Username Restrictions: You may not use a username that is the name of another person or entity, a name that is not lawfully available for use, or a name that is offensive, vulgar, or obscene.
  • Impersonation & Reserved Words: You are strictly prohibited from selecting a username that attempts to impersonate Vintique Sound staff, automated systems, or official functions. This includes, but is not limited to, usernames containing: admin, administrator, support, billing, official, moderator, webmaster, or vintique.
  • Account Termination: We reserve the right to reclaim, rename, or terminate accounts using prohibited usernames at our sole discretion without prior notice.

Use of Services

You may use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Service. You agree not to use our services:

  • In any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
  • To exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm minors in any way.
  • To transmit any advertising or promotional material without our prior written consent.
  • To impersonate or attempt to impersonate Vintique Sound, a Vintique Sound employee, another user, or any other person or entity.

Custom Service Requests

Users may submit requests for audio engineering and custom services as guests or registered users.

  • No Guarantee of Service: Submission of a request form does not constitute a binding contract. Vintique Sound reserves the right to decline any project for any reason.
  • Project Scope: Each service project will be governed by a separate project agreement or invoice detailing the scope of work, revisions, and delivery dates.

Digital Products and Licensing

All VST plugins, DAW templates, presets, loops, and samples are sold as digital downloads.

  • License: Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these assets in your musical compositions.
  • Restrictions: You may not redistribute, resell, or repackage our raw audio files or software code. Detailed usage rights are governed by our End User License Agreement (EULA).
  • Account Security: For products requiring an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Intellectual Property

The Vintique Sound name, logo, website code, website content, all audio engineering software, all audio engineering digital content, and all original audio are the exclusive property of Vintique Sound. You may not use our branding or intellectual property without express written permission, outside of the rights granted by your product licenses.

Payments and Merchant of Record

We use third-party payment processors to ensure secure transactions.

  • PayPal: Currently used for custom service invoicing. Payments are subject to PayPal’s terms and conditions.
  • Lemon Squeezy: For digital downloads and future services, Lemon Squeezy acts as the Merchant of Record. They handle global tax compliance (VAT/GST) and payment processing. By purchasing through Lemon Squeezy, you also agree to their terms.

Refund Policy

Vintique Sound offers money-back guarantees across our services and products, with different refund windows depending on the category of purchase. For full details, please see our dedicated Refund Policy page.

  • Audio Engineering Services: All audio engineering service purchases include a 30-day money-back guarantee from the confirmed project start date. A full refund may be requested if the service does not meet your expectations, with feedback required to process the refund.
  • Educational Services: One-on-one training and project feedback services include a 14-day money-back guarantee from the confirmed project start date. Feedback is required to process the refund.
  • Educational Digital Content: Online courses and downloadable learning resources include a 14-day money-back guarantee from the purchase date. Feedback is required to process the refund.
  • Digital Products: All sales of VSTs, loops, presets, templates, and samples are final immediately upon purchase, except in cases of proven technical defect.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties of any kind, either express or implied, regarding the operation of our services or the information, content, materials, or products included on our website.

Limitation of Liability and "As-Is" Provision

Our software and audio tools are provided "as-is." While we strive for perfection, Vintique Sound is not liable for any damages—including but not limited to studio downtime, data loss, or hardware failure—resulting from the use of our plugins, DAW templates, plugin presets, or any other software product. It is your responsibility to ensure your system meets the compatibility requirements listed on our product pages.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
