Audio Engineering Services
What's the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing is the process of balancing and blending individual tracks in a song - adjusting levels, EQ, compression, effects, and spatial placement. Mastering is the final step where the mixed track is polished, optimized for different playback systems, and prepared for distribution. Think of mixing as assembling the puzzle pieces, and mastering as putting the frame around the completed picture.
How long does a typical mix or master take?
Mixing typically takes 4-6 business days depending on track complexity and revision rounds. Mastering is usually completed within 3-4 business days. Rush services of 2 business days turnaround for urgent projects are available at an additional fee. Standard packages include turnaround times and revision policies to ensure you get exactly what you need.
What file formats do you accept and deliver?
Accepted lossless audio formats include WAV (preferred), FLAC, and AIFF. It is recommended to use at least 24-bit / 44.1 kHz or higher for best results. Final output files can be delivered in any requested format, including WAV, FLAC, AIFF, MP3, and streaming-optimized files. Platform-specific masters can also be provided for services such as Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms.
How many revisions are included?
All audio engineering services (including mixing, mastering, editing, and so on) include up to 3 revisions. Unlimited revisions are available at an additional fee. I want you to be completely satisfied with the final result.
Do you work remotely or do I need to come to the studio?
All audio engineering services are provided remotely. In-person sessions are not available. Project files are submitted via a secure file transfer system or third-party services such as WeTransfer. Communication is handled through email or video calls as needed.
What's your refund policy for audio engineering services?
All audio engineering service purchases are paid up front and in full to secure and confirm a project start date. If the service does not meet your full expectations, a refund of the full amount may be requested within 30 days of the project start date. Feedback outlining why the service did not meet expectations is required in order to process the refund. For full details, see the Refund Policy page.
Educational Services
What are educational services?
Educational services are project-based offerings such as one-on-one training and project feedback. They include a confirmed project start date and are delivered through live sessions or recorded walkthroughs tailored to your actual projects, your DAW, and your learning goals.
What topics can I learn in a training session?
Training covers three main areas: Cubase workflow (navigation, templates, routing, VariAudio, automation, and more), mixing (EQ, compression, saturation, effects, balance, depth, and genre-specific strategies), and mastering (tonal balance, loudness, limiting, translation, and platform considerations). Sessions are tailored to your level and can focus on one topic or combine multiple areas into a custom learning path.
How are 1-on-1 training sessions delivered?
Training is delivered 1-on-1 online in 1-hour increments. You can choose a focused topic session, a project-based working session inside your own material, or a guided development plan that combines multiple sessions into a structured roadmap. Whenever possible, we work directly from your own songs, sessions, or mastering chain so the lessons apply immediately to your music.
What formats are available for project feedback?
Project feedback is available in three formats: a recorded walkthrough (async review you can watch back on your own time), a live walkthrough (interactive session with recording delivery included), or a deep-dive review (a more involved review for complex projects that can combine a detailed recorded walkthrough with a live follow-up conversation). The right format depends on your project's scope and how much explanation you need.
Do I need a specific DAW for training or feedback?
Cubase is my preferred DAW and where I have the deepest expertise, but training and feedback concepts apply broadly across DAWs. For project feedback, I can review sessions from Cubase, Ableton, Bitwig, WaveLab, and Reaper. Many mixing and mastering concepts are DAW-agnostic, though Cubase-specific guidance will naturally be the most detailed.
Can I get a recording of my session?
Yes. For 1-on-1 training, session recording is available as an extra-cost add-on so you can revisit the lesson afterward. For project feedback, live walkthroughs include recording delivery as part of the package, and recorded walkthroughs are delivered as a recording by default. Deep-dive reviews can include both a recorded walkthrough and a live follow-up session recording.
What's your refund policy for educational services?
Educational services (including 1-on-1 training and project feedback) include a 14-day money-back guarantee window starting from the confirmed educational service project start date. If the service does not meet your expectations, request a refund within that 14-day window for a full refund. Feedback outlining why the service did not meet expectations is required to process the refund. For full details, see the Refund Policy page.
Educational Digital Content
What is educational digital content?
Educational digital content includes self-paced products such as online courses, DAW templates, and downloadable learning resources. These products do not have a confirmed project start date and are available for immediate access after purchase.
Are the courses suitable for beginners?
Yes. Courses are available for all skill levels and are clearly labeled as Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. Beginner courses start from the fundamentals and gradually build skills. Free introductory tutorials are also available to help you get started.
Do I get lifetime access to the courses?
Absolutely! Once you purchase a course, you have unlimited lifetime access to all course materials, including any future updates. You can learn at your own pace and revisit lessons whenever you need a refresher.
What software do I need for the courses?
Many courses are DAW-agnostic, meaning the concepts apply to any digital audio workstation. However, there are specific tutorials for Cubase Pro and courses like that make it clear which software and what version is being used. Each course description lists any specific software requirements.
Can I get a certificate after completing a course?
Unfortunately no. I do not provide any form of digital or physical certificate. Our learning materials are created for general educational purposes and are not structured to meet formal accreditation requirements.
What's your refund policy for educational digital content?
Educational digital content (such as courses and downloadable products) includes a 14-day money-back guarantee window from the purchase date. Because these products do not have a project start date, the refund window is calculated from the purchase date only. If you're not satisfied, request a refund within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Feedback outlining why the product did not meet expectations is required to process the refund. For full details, see the Refund Policy page.
Digital Products
Are your sample packs and loops royalty-free?
Yes! All our sample packs and loops are 100% royalty-free. You can use them in your commercial releases without any additional fees or credits required. You own the rights to use the samples in your productions. You may not, however, redistribute the sample and loop packs (giving away or selling the sample and loop packs is a breach of copyright laws).
What formats are the plugins available in?
Our plugins are available in VST, VST3, AU (Audio Unit), and AAX formats. They work with Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems. System requirements are listed on each product page.
Can I try plugins before purchasing?
Yes! 14-day trial versions are available for all audio plugins. You can download them from the product page and use them in your projects. If you decide to purchase, your trial projects will continue to work seamlessly.
What's your refund policy for digital products?
All digital product sales are final immediately upon purchase, except in cases of proven technical defect. If you experience a technical issue with your purchase, contact us with documentation of the defect and we will work to resolve it. 14-day trial versions are available for all audio plugins so you can test before buying. For full details, see the Refund Policy page.

What's the difference between educational services and educational digital content?
Educational services are project-based offerings such as one-on-one training and project feedback, and they include a confirmed project start date. Educational digital content includes self-paced products such as courses, templates, and downloadable learning resources. Refund timing and eligibility are handled separately for each category.
What's your studio's analog signal chain?
Unfortunately I do not have a dedicated analog signal chain. I've experimented in the past using a hybrid setup, but opted for a more flexible fully digital in-the-box approach. I decided to use high quality analog modeling like the new Universal Audio UADx plugins.
Do you offer stem mastering?
Yes! Stem mastering is available as its own service. You can provide individual stems (drums, bass, vocals, instruments, etc.) which gives me more control over the final balance while maintaining the cohesion of a full mix master. This is particularly useful for EDM and hip-hop productions.
Can you master for vinyl?
Unfortunately I do not have the expertise to guarantee a high quality vinyl master! As much as I love vinyl records, I simply cannot guarantee that a vinyl specific master would yield appropriate frequency adjustments, stereo width management, and level optimizations.
What monitoring system do you use?
All monitoring is done on Neumann KH 310 three-way monitors in an acoustically treated room. I also reference on Avantone MixCubes and Focal Spirit Headphones to ensure your mixes and/or masters translate well across different playback systems.
Do you collaborate with other artists?
Yes! I'm able to collaborate using Steinberg Cubase's VST Connect, or by sharing complete project files (either Cubase, Ableton, or Bitwig projects).
